Carl Sagan

Oh my gosh, you won’t believe it! This guy was like the ultimate superstar of astronomers. He published, get this, almost 500 scientific papers and articles! And that’s not all, he also wrote or co-wrote over a dozen books! Can you imagine? One of them even won a Pulitzer prize! Some of his famous works include “Intelligent Life In The Universe” (1966), “The Cosmic Connection” (1973), “The Dragons of Eden” (1977), “Murmurs of Earth” (1978), and “Broca’s Brain” (1979). Like, seriously, this guy was a genius!

And get this, he used to teach at Cornell University, where Graffin studied/taught. Can you believe that? Graffin was not only a friend but also a huge fan of his. They were so close that Graffin even spent a whole weekend at his house. How cool is that?

But, sadly, this amazing astronomer passed away in the fall of 1996. It’s such a loss for the world of science.

I’ve been lurking on that site for over 20 years and if you’re into Bad Religion as much as I am, I’m sure you’re familiar. If you are not, go there right now and never come back to this site again. You should, and I totally understand.
