Billy Gnosis

Guess what? According to Greg, Brett’s song is like a cool remake of “Take The Money And Run” by the Steve Miller Band from way back in 1976. And get this, Billy Gnosis is actually a shout-out to Billy Pilgrim, the main character in Kurt Vonnegut’s awesome novel “Slaughterhouse-Five” from 1969. But wait, there’s more! The song Billy is actually more like a personal story from Brett’s own life. How cool is that? Oh, and did you know that the line “and the worms ate into his brain” is actually from a Pink Floyd song called “Hey You” from 1979? It’s like a crazy fantasy, man. The wall was just too high for the guy, no matter how hard he tried to break free. And those worms, man, they really got into his brain. Woah. And get this, they’ve even played parts of this song live a few times. In 2010, they even played the whole thing as part of an 80’s set. How rad is that? You can find all this info in The Big Takeover #55 from 2004.
