Oh my gosh, you won’t believe what happened in April 1996 at Asbury Park, NJ! Greg got a super persistent fan who requested ‘Yesterday’ and he actually agreed to sing it, even though they hadn’t practiced it. Can you imagine? But here’s the best part – after a few a capella bars, Hetson joined in, followed by Jay and Bobby on the drums and bass. It was like magic! They all just went for it, laughing and having a blast because it was so spontaneous. And guess what? Puffball even did a faster and punker cover version of the song for the album Fuck Hell – This is a Tribute to Bad Religion. They called it “Look Behind” in the Hate Yourself bootleg. How awesome is that?
