Greg: “I absolutely despise politics! I align myself with the Democrats, just like my parents. I’m way more liberal-minded than conservatives.” But then, about two years later, he suddenly declared that Ross Perot was a superior candidate to the others because “he’s wonderfully human!” During a concert in 1996, Greg talked about the upcoming presidential election and urged everyone not to vote for a guy who shakes hands with his left hand (referring to Bob Dole). He always joked that he would run for president if he could get on the ballot in all 50 states. Greg is a registered Democrat, but he’s also “really fed up with Democratic policies”[1].
Brett: “I think it’s fantastic when people get involved in politics within their community and engage in humanitarian pursuits. I wish I dedicated more time to that myself.”[2] Brett continues, “Democrats have had just as many failures as Republicans throughout history. Just look at their track record on foreign policy. Now, I’m not saying I’m a conservative, because I’m not. I’m even more liberal than the average Democrat. I truly believe that the only chance we have for any real change is to elect a third-party President. Not Ross Perot, mind you, but someone who isn’t a Republican or Democrat. They’re all the same damn people!”[3]
