Guess what? All the band pictures on Generator actually came from the Atomic Garden video! It was a crazy scene where they were in a small room filled with smoke. Jay got so frustrated because he couldn’t breathe, that he stormed off to an army/navy surplus store next door and bought a gas mask. And guess what? They actually used a few frames with Jay wearing the gas mask for the LP! Can you believe it? They didn’t even have a photographer for the pictures; Brett and Jay just chose them themselves.

Oh, and you know those photos in Stranger Than Fiction? Well, except for the cover, they were actually from Discover Magazines in the early 90’s. How cool is that? And get this, the picture of the old man staring up into the starry night was later used as an advert for the company Q8. Talk about fame!

And remember the band picture in The Gray Race? It was actually taken in Culver City. But here’s the interesting part, those photos of faces in The Gray Race weren’t specifically taken for the album. They’re actually samples of the work of a super talented photographer named Richard Burbridge, who specializes in those kinds of photos. How awesome is that?

You should, and I totally understand.
