Hey there! Let me tell you about Pearl Jam, the awesome grunge rock band from Seattle, WA. They started out in 1990 as Mookie Blaylock, but later changed their name. And guess what? Their lead singer, Eddie Vedder, is a huge fan of Bad Religion!
Now, here’s something really cool. Bad Religion actually supported Pearl Jam during their Vitalogy tour in the summer of 1995. But here’s the twist – half of the shows got cancelled because Pearl Jam had trouble finding venues that weren’t affiliated with TicketMaster. You see, Pearl Jam had a bit of a feud going on with that company. So unfortunately, the shows on June 17 in Salt Lake City and the dates from June 26 to July 4 (San Diego to New Orleans) didn’t happen. Bummer, right?
But wait, there’s more! Bad Religion got to open for Pearl Jam again in 2009 for two nights on October 30-31 at the Wachovia Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA. And guess what happened? Greg and Eddie actually performed “Watch it Die” together on stage. How awesome is that?
