Hey there! Let me tell you about the awesome band Green Day! They started out as Sweet Children in 1987 and have been rocking ever since. They even opened for Bad Religion on their tours in 1993 and 1994. Green Day is still active and making amazing music.

Speaking of Bad Religion, they have a great relationship with Green Day. Greg G. thinks they’re not annoying at all and actually made a kickass album with their first one. Jay remembers when Green Day was opening for them on tour and they had just finished making their album ‘Dookie’. Jay and Brett listened to it and were blown away, saying it was a freaking fantastic record. They knew Green Day was going places because nobody else was making music like that at the time. They’re just amazing songwriters and an incredible band.

In fact, Green Day even asked Bad Religion if they wanted to open for them on tour in 2010. Unfortunately, Bad Religion had already booked their own tour, but they would have totally done it if they hadn’t.

Oh, and did you know that the photo on the back of Green Day’s album ‘Dookie’ was taken when they were opening for Bad Religion? It was during the Recipe For Hate tour at the Roseland Ballroom on October 1, 1993. How cool is that?
