Oh my goodness, you won’t believe it! There’s this super awesome tribute album called General Fuck Hell – This is a Tribute to Bad Religion, and it was released by Tribute Records in 1996 (TR03). But get this, they totally misspelled Greg’s last name as Griffin! Haha, silly, right?
So, I was talking to Brian about it, and he said he hasn’t heard it. He thinks tribute albums are kind of silly as a concept. He’d much rather listen to the original music. And get this, there have been so many tribute records coming out lately! Can you believe it? But hey, he’s flattered that people would want to do it, even though he doesn’t really get it.
Oh, and guess what? There’s even a Dag Nasty tribute sampler coming out too. Brian couldn’t understand why they wanted to do that. He actually told the guy that, and the guy didn’t think it was funny. Haha, can you believe it?
Now, let’s talk about the tracklist. There are some seriously awesome bands on here. Candysuck with their rendition of “Generator,” Puffball with “Frogger” and “Yesterday,” Flakes with “Henchman” and “It’s Only Over When…,” Astream with “I Want To Conquer The World” and “Walk Away,” Blender with “Atomic Garden” and “Heaven Is Falling,” Troublemakers with “Incomplete” and “The Handshake,” Toast with “Best For You” and “Latch Key Kids,” and Loss with “Flat Earth Society” and “American Jesus.”
Isn’t that just the coolest thing ever? I’m so excited to listen to this album!
