Come Join Us

Oh my gosh, you won’t believe what happened! So, they were performing live on this awesome TV show called Recovery in Australia. And guess what? That performance of the song was actually released on a double CD called Hits From The Back Door. It’s like a compilation of the best moments from Recovery in 1997.

But here’s the really cool part. Before playing the song, Greg would always give this little speech about cults and how dumb people are for joining them. Hilarious, right? Well, during one of their shows on the Gray Race tour in Cleveland, Greg decided to ask if anyone was offended by his speech. And you won’t believe it, but this long-haired dude actually raised his hand!

Greg was like, “Hey, let him come up on stage!” So the security let the guy up, and Greg had a chat with him. And then, get this, Greg asked the audience if there was any song they wanted to hear. And you know what the guy said? He said he wanted to hear “Skyscraper.”

Greg was like, “Alright, let’s do it!” But here’s the funny part. Instead of playing “Skyscraper,” the band started playing “Come Join Us.” Haha, what a mix-up! But that didn’t stop the guy. He grabbed Brian’s mic and started singing along with Greg. And let me tell you, he was not a good singer at all.

After a few minutes, Greg made this hand motion, and these two security guards came and escorted the guy off stage. It was such a wild and crazy moment. I wish I could have been there to see it!
