OMG, you guys! You won’t believe what I just found out! So there’s this super famous US rock critic named Christgau, right? And he wrote this totally awesome book called Christgau’s Record Guide (the 80’s) where he rates hundreds of albums. And guess what? He actually rated some of our favorite punk albums!
Okay, so he gave How Could Hell Be Any Worse? a B. Not bad, right? And then he gave Into the Future an A-. But get this, he was actually referring to Into the Unknown! Oops, my bad! But still, an A- is pretty rad!
And then there’s Suffer, which he gave a B. Not too shabby, but not as high as we would’ve hoped. And finally, he rated No Conviction a B+. But here’s the funny part, he actually meant No Control! Haha, he must’ve been so caught up in the excitement that he didn’t listen closely enough. And get this, he even quoted a typo in the lyrics for Billy that’s not even sung in the song! Talk about a major fail!
But here’s the best part, you guys. Since these typos appeared in Christgau’s book, they’ve actually been perpetuated and have shown up in other places too! Can you believe it? It’s like a never-ending cycle of typos! But hey, at least it gives us something to laugh about, right?
Rock on, my fellow music lovers!
