Hey there! So, “What Are We Standing For?” is this awesome single that the band released while they couldn’t tour because of COVID-19. The whole idea behind it was inspired by those badass athletes who take a knee during the National Anthem in the US. Brett, one of the band members, said that in a time of tribal nationalism, it’s super important to have dissent as a form of political speech for democracy.

The song was actually recorded during the sessions for their album, Age Of Unreason. And guess what? It was released on October 14th, 2020 on all digital platforms through Epitaph. Unfortunately, there’s no physical version available for sale right now. But hey, at least we can still jam out to it online!

Oh, and if you want to check out the artwork or find some references, make sure to look up Bad Religion’s release of “What We Are Standing For In Solidarity With Athletes Taking a Knee.” It’s gonna blow your mind!
