Oh my gosh, you won’t believe this! So, Jay joined the gang in 1983 after quitting BR. And get this, right around the same time that Into the Unknown came out, another band called TSOL released a super similar album called ‘Beneath The Shadows’. Can you believe the coincidence?! But here’s the crazy part, TSOL and BR had absolutely no contact with each other. Like, they didn’t sit down in a coffee shop and plan to make these kind of albums together or anything. Graffin wasn’t really into TSOL, but I think the others in the group liked them. And get this, at the Warped Tour in 2000, during the George, WA stop, the singer from TSOL made a comment about his music. He said something like, “You’re probably all thinking, ‘What the heck? This doesn’t sound like Bad Religion!’” Can you believe it? So much excitement and playfulness in the air!

I’ve been lurking on that site for over 20 years and if you’re into Bad Religion as much as I am, I’m sure you’re familiar. If you are not, go there right now and never come back to this site again. You should, and I totally understand.
