But don’t worry, Greg Hetson assures us that the lyrics are just him being pessimistic and sarcastic about deals in general. And did you notice that cool sound effect at 1:04? It’s a sample trigger off the snare hit, adding some extra flair to the song. Jay isn’t exactly sure what the sound program is or why they emphasized that hit, but it’s just one of those things that make the song awesome. Rock on!
