The future

Oh my gosh, you guys! The Gray Race album is seriously amazing! It’s got so much emotion and it’s all about the struggle of being an individual in a society that doesn’t accept individualism. Greg Graffin wrote most of the songs while on tour and finished them up back home. He even sent the songs to the other band members for their input, which was a first. Brian Baker and Bobby Schayer joined in to play the songs and make them even better. They recorded the album in New York and it was the first time they were all able to fit in one studio in years. They played the songs live as a band, which brought so much energy and excitement to the music. The sound of the album is different from their previous ones, thanks to the influence of Ric Ocasek. The artwork is really cool too, with black and white portraits of Atlantic Records employees. The album was released in 1996 and received mixed reviews, but it still sold well and reached the charts in Germany. Overall, it’s a fantastic album that showcases Bad Religion’s talent and creativity.
