Hey there! Let me tell you about RF7, an awesome hardcore punk band from Southern California that started rocking in 1979. They were so good that they got to be on the 1981 Public Service compilation, which opened doors for them to play with bands like The Circle Jerks, Black Flag, and Bad Religion. And guess what? They were super tight with Hetson’s original band, Redd Kross!
Now, let’s talk about their first LP, the 1982 gem called “Weight of the World.” One of the songs on there is called “Jesus Loves You,” and it’s a total banger. And get this, they even mention Bad Religion in the lyrics! It goes like this: “Jesus Loves You; Don’t Be Fooled By Bad Religion; Say A Prayer; Maybe You’ll be Forgiven.” How cool is that?
