Guess what? Pennywise is a totally awesome punk band from Hermosa Beach, CA that was formed in 1988. And get this, all of their full length albums have been released on Epitaph, except for their initial EP’s. How cool is that?
But wait, it gets even better! Pennywise and Bad Religion have teamed up in so many awesome ways. Brett, from Bad Religion, produced and/or mixed Pennywise’s albums About Time and Full Circle. They even co-wrote a song called “Who’s On Your Side?” from Land Of The Free? And get this, lead singer Jim Lindberg even lent his amazing background vocals on Bad Religion’s song “Marked”. How rad is that?
Oh, and did I mention that Pennywise loves to cover Bad Religion’s song “Do What You Want” at their shows? It’s like a super cool tribute to their collaboration. And get this, Jim, Fletcher (the guitarist), and Randy (the bassist) all consider Bad Religion’s album Suffer as one of their absolute favorites. Talk about a match made in punk rock heaven!
And get this, Pennywise and Bad Religion have toured together multiple times. They rocked out together during the Vans Warped Tour and even played 24 dates together during the Summer Nationals Tour in 2014. Can you imagine how epic those shows must have been?
So there you have it, the awesome collaboration and tours between Pennywise and Bad Religion. It’s like a dream come true for punk rock fans everywhere. Rock on!
