New America

Guess what? Right at the start of this awesome song, Greg totally screams “Jimmy” in a super cool English accent. It’s actually a shoutout to Jimmy Pursey, the founder and frontman of the legendary English punk band Sham 69. And get this, there’s a rad video for the song “New America” where these two kids are playing with action figures of the band members. It’s so hilarious because at one point, the figure of Graffin throws up! But you know what’s even crazier? In the early version of the video, it was actually Baker’s figure that puked! How wild is that? Anyway, this single was released to Alt Radio stations on March 8, 2000, but sadly it didn’t make it onto any major charts worldwide. But hey, who needs charts when you’ve got such an epic song, right?
