Oh my gosh, you won’t believe what happened at this California show! This kid actually had three of his fingers cut off because the barricade was made out of old bike racks. Can you imagine? They had to stop playing just to find his fingers!
But wait, it gets crazier. During another show on their tour, there was a girl in trouble in the audience. And get this, the security was too lame to help her. So Jay, being the hero that he is, stopped playing and jumped into the crowd to save her during “I Want To Conquer the World.” How awesome is that?
And then, at the Dr. Music Festival, this guy starts insulting Greg in Spanish, calling him a sell-out, fat, and bald. But Greg just laughs it off and tells him he’d rather be fat than short like him. Well, that guy didn’t like that response and punched Greg. But Greg didn’t back down, he grabbed the guy and dragged him offstage. Talk about standing up for yourself!
But the craziest incident happened during a concert in Oiartzun. The audience was going wild, slamming and jumping to the music, when suddenly the floor collapsed! Can you believe it? Hundreds of people fell into an 80-foot-wide hole that led to a parking structure below. Thankfully, no one died, but many were injured and had to go to the hospital. It was definitely the scariest moment in the band’s history.
And guess what? The builder and the organization both blamed each other for the incident. Turns out, they were both at fault. The organization packed way too many people into a small venue, and the builder used low-quality concrete. Yikes!
But you know what’s crazy? When the band played in the Basque Country again after the incident, they started the show with the same song as last time, “Recipe For Hate.” Talk about a bold move with a cynical grin. And even NOFX joked about it when they played there, saying they should find venues where the floor collapses.
Oh, and we can’t forget about the famous riots that happened too. This band sure knows how to make headlines!
