Hey there! Let me tell you about Junkyard, this awesome hard rock band from Los Angeles, CA. They formed back in 1987 and have been rocking ever since! Guess who joined the band in 1988? None other than the incredible guitarist Brian Baker! He was with them until 1992 and then rejoined from 2006 to 2017. Talk about dedication!
Now, here’s a fun fact for you. Junkyard signed a record deal with Geffen Records right when Brian joined. He played on three of their albums: Junkyard (1992), Sixes, Sevens, and Nines (1991), and High Water (2017). These guys know how to make some killer music!
And let’s not forget about their hit songs. We’ve got ‘Hollywood’, ‘Hands Off Booze’, and ‘Simple Man’. These tunes are absolute bangers!
But here’s a little secret. Brian actually wasn’t a fan of the band’s sound. He wasn’t too keen on the mix of Southern Rock and straight up Rock. But hey, sometimes opposites attract, right?
