Guitars Jay’s main bass is a super cool 1977 Fender P-Bass, and it’s white! His backup bass is like a mix of a vintage 1963 AV Fender body and a Schecter neck. It’s got this awesome “badass” bridge that he totally ordered online, but who knows if it’s legit or not. Oh, and he used his rad 1964 stock Fender P-Bass to record the epic Age of Unreason album.
Amps Originally, Jay rocked an Ampeg SVT Classic head and 8×10 cabinet, but dang, that tube head kept breaking and needing repairs all the time. So now he’s all about the Orange 4 stroke 500 head, which is a solid state amp that unfortunately got discontinued. He’s got two of them though, one as a backup. And of course, he pairs these bad boys with an Orange 8×10 cabinet.
