Greg: “I couldn’t have written a song like ‘Atheist Peace’ years ago. I used to shy away from the concept of atheism, even though we touched on it in our music. But now I find it to be a perfectly reasonable alternative. I also have a lot more confidence in my writing and a strong foundation for my beliefs. Of course, that doesn’t mean I won’t have a change of heart someday. Graduating and moving on to the next stage of life really changes you. Going through any kind of institution makes you feel like a different person. This writing process for the album felt completely different from anything I’ve done before, even during my bachelor’s and master’s degrees.”
Brett: “When we touch on these timeless topics in our new record, it doesn’t feel stale at all. Greg has really refined his writing and turned it into an art. It’s brilliant to have a song like ‘Atheist Peace’ instead of one about religious war. Only Greg could have come up with that.”
Graffin: “The song is about how religion doesn’t offer a friendly solution to anything. Maybe we would have more peace without a belief in God.”

I’ve been lurking on that site for over 20 years and if you’re into Bad Religion as much as I am, I’m sure you’re familiar. If you are not, go there right now and never come back to this site again. You should, and I totally understand.
